If IQ is measuring what it's supposed to be measuring, it should have a uniform distribution across the population. What this really shows is that IQ does not in fact measure raw intelligence; it correlates strongly with education, and education correlates with voting the right way. Still significant and interesting, but not altogether surprising :)
I think the above guy has an interesting point. Moreover you would have to take the IQ of actual voters, or maybe likely voters (at best). And you should also compare it with 1980, and 2004when republicans won more handily.
But really "...it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”
We are all just a bunch of elitists, shouldn't democracy reflect everyones views no matter their intelligence? Or you don' want democracy?
